Hi!  I’m Stacey…

Wife…I met Justin in 2004 and fell in love within a matter of months.  He is generous, hard-working, game-for-anything, and so much fun!  He’s been known to say that he married up, but I think he has that backwards.

Mother…In 2008, life got a whole lot sweeter when we welcomed our little girl, Mackenna into our family.  A few years later, Caleb joined the family in 2011 and has been keeping us laughing ever since.  Lucas completed our family when he was born in 2013, determined to bring us immense joy and keep us on our toes.  I love being their mommy.  On the good days when I feel like I’m getting through to them, and even on the tough days when I think God is using them to get through to me.

Photographer…I’ve always had a creative side, in fact when I was in kindergarten I told my mom that I wanted to be an art teacher when I grew up.  That didn’t quite happen, but almost…I became a middle school science teacher when I grew up!  But then I had kids…and I made it my mission to document their lives with photos because it didn’t take long to realize how quickly they were growing up!  In 2009 I got my first DSLR camera with the intent to learn how to take better photos of my kids.  I did learn.  And then my friends noticed…and asked me to take photos of their kids.  And that’s when I realized maybe I had a gift that should be shared.  At the end of 2010 we made things official and began Stacey Nichole Photography.  My journey since then has truly been living out a dream!  In 2015, Stacey Nichole Photography is morphing into The Joy Before Me Photography.

Type 1 Diabetes Advocate…Do you know how you become an advocate for type 1 diabetes?  It happens the moment the doctor tells you your child has it.  Mackenna was diagnosed with T1D on May 7th, 2013 at just 4 1/2 years old.  Since then, I have made it my mission to educate as many as I can because this disease is SO misunderstood.  It’s not an easy road, definitely not one we would have chosen, but we do our best to kick diabetes butt on a daily basis and we’re pretty good at it!

Child of the One True King…I am a broken person, a sinner saved by grace, loved immensely by the God of the Universe.  He loves you too!  More than you can imagine.
